The Mixtapes Sweatshirt carries a graphic logo design inspired by the “Home Taping is Killing Music” campaign. A 1980s anti infringement movement. By mix taping, subcultures thrived and new bonds were created. Networking was a big thing thanks to this. World of mouth provided extra exposure for the tape owner and the artists at the same time. Sharing is caring. Our subcultures are our world and our music is in the centre of them. The mixtape is our favourite collection, our point of view, our vibes and emotions. It is part of our culture. We simply crossed out “kills music” word to state the value mixtapes had in our tribe.
